Date: January 6, 2026

The Three Kings (Reyes Magos) event in Sitges, Spain, happens annually on the evening of January 5, 2026, with the grand parade (Cabalgata) through the town, featuring floats, music, and sweets, following the Kings’ arrival by sea at the Fragata, culminating the Christmas season before Three Kings Day (Epiphany) on January 6th. Expect magic, sweets (and coal for fun!), and letter-collecting pages in the days prior, with official tourism sites providing detailed routes and timings closer to date.

The Three Kings event in Sitges, a major celebration in Spain, centers around a large parade held annually on January 5th, the eve of Epiphany. This vibrant tradition sees the Three Wise Men (Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar) process through the town on elaborate floats, distributing over half a ton of sweets to the crowds

Arrival by Sea: The three Kings, Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar, arrived at the Port of Sitges around 12:30 PM on January 5, 2026, to greet children and mark the start of the final festive celebrations.

  • The Three Kings Parade (Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos): The main procession occurred on the evening of January 5, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM.
  • Parade Route: The parade began at La Fragata and wound through the center of Sitges along a specific route, including Passeig de la Ribera, Carrer de la Bassa Rodona, and Carrer Major, concluding at the Town Hall (Ajuntament).
  • Epiphany (Three Kings Day): January 6, 2026, was a national public holiday in Spain. This is the traditional day when children wake up to find gifts left by the Kings in or near their shoes overnight, after the previous evening’s parade.

Tradition and Atmosphere

During the parade, the Kings and their pages ride on elaborate floats, throwing thousands of sweets to the excited crowds lining the streets. Children in the days leading up to the parade drop off their wish lists at a royal post office, or hand them directly to the Kings’ royal pages, like Aisha, who was at the Old Market (Mercat Vell) on January 2 and 3.
